Need help with nclex

Deep breath, and don't be too hard on yourself. Some people just do not test well. Go back to your guidance counselor at your school and ask if there is study groups, tutoring, or a test prep course you can take.

Some people test by attempting to memorize as much as their brain can take. Stop that habit. Look at each question at face value, do NOT read into them. And MOST important, do NOT change your answers. At all. Unless you are 999% sure that you mis-clicked. Most wrong answers are after changes.

Take at look at the practice tests you have done. Look at the reports you have been given after your testing. Is there a theme? If you are seeing one, that is the material you need to go back and review. Highlighted text book, notes--transfer on note cards that you can take with you, those kind of strategies. Further, see if you could audit a couple of classes at your former school if you are having a hard time with one or 2 subjects.

Finally, there are some learning disabilities that pertain to test taking. It is worth looking into with your guidance counselor, as accommodations may help you. If you are finding that you are rush/hurry-up ing due to time constraints, this could be something to talk about. If you had some IEP goals prior to college, revisit that with the school guidance counselor.

when I took the NCLEX last week, all I relied on was Kaplan and it worked for me. I was scoring from 24% (all sata) to 50's - 70's. I never tried to memorize the answers but just learned how to attack a question which I think is how it's supposed to work. So why don't you try to do that, learn how to attack questions analytically. after all it's your critical thinking ability that's being measured. The best of luck to you. ������
