Start completely over and study as if you had never tested in the past.

Practise Practise Practise questions and read the rational. Only review a subject if you are having problems answering the questions

IF you have taken it twice already, it must be the way that you are studying. The exam is not a test like you see in nursing school. You can't memorize everything and then use "recall" information. You have to know the information and how to use that information to make critical thinking decisions. If you are having testing problems, it may not be what you know, but rather how you are using that information. I recommend that you get a Kaplan book and read that to help you out. IT's more test taking strategies, and if you passed nursing school then you know the information. You just need some help in the test taking strategies of the nclex. Try to get the Kaplan book, and maybe through that you will be able to understand why you keep missing the mark. Good luck, as I hear that it's a tough test. I am taking mine in October and I can honestly say that the Kaplan book has helped me as far as test taking strategies, and I have a Saunders book that focuses more on content. Have you tried checking into the Hurst review? I am planning on doing that when I sit for my RN boards. Good luck!
