Need help to get back on track, nclex expired last 2010, NO SSN

Hi,

I am new here in allnurses.. I hope there is someone who can give me a light on this matter. I passed NCLEX-CA June 2007 and it expired june 2010. I failed to provide SSN and the agency who was helping me to process my visa suddenly disappeared. I was so depressed because all the way I knew I have to retake it again,I started to lose interest in Nursing. I tried working as a caregiver in London and now I just read in this website that there is no expiration in NCLEX results so does it mean I can still have the chance to pursue my profession. My question is how? How can I still utilize this to be a US nurse?

I hope someone with the same situation like mine or someone who knows very well what to do here can help me to get back on track. Thank you very much! Godbless...

Do you have a PD? I suggest you start with the state you initiated licensure with and see what they have to say. Secondly you will need to find a new employer and I think keeping your PD will have to do with how long ago you lost contact with your agency and make sure you can not contact them. Your file may heave been considered abandoned so you will have to start over again with a employer and PD and look at another 5+ years wait

I was not given a priority date if that does PD mean? Sorry for being ignorant, it was been years that i lost my path. Just to clarify, I can still use the nclex results to find a new employer and to reapply? Thank you very much for answering my queries.

You need to check with your state BON/BRN before assuming your NCLEx results are safe. Yes PD is priority date and if you haven't got one or know your old one you are starting from scratch and looking at the moment of over 6 years in the queue
