need to find lpn program

hey everyone! i am new to this site & im hoping to get your opinions regarding a few things. i am looking to start an lpn program jan 2012. yesterday i spoke to someone at mildred elley and ive spoken w/a few other schools recently as well. please help me w/the following:

1. opinion w/regard to pre-req at mildred elley & making into their lpn program?

2. merit tech in nj? good school?

3. cannj?

4. lincoln tech?

5. any info on hafa on li?

6. any schools directly in nyc? as of right now, i dont drive & live in the bx. i am not opposed to getting a car ( but... i am trying to avoid crossing bridges on a daily basis, ie gw bridge/throgs neck/whitestone)

i am aware of the tuition w/all of the above schools. right now my main objectives are (a)close proximity to nyc (b)evening classes ©no waiting lists.
