Need an answer asap please

Hi everybody,

ok my nclex-RN is gonna be on Dec-22, and I am so nervous.

I have quick question, I read Saunders , did Uworld and now I am doing Kaplan but some answers are different in each resource.

for example;

the type of food allowed for diverticulosis; Kaplan and Saunders say don't eat nuts or corn, but according to Uworld that the new researches found that nuts and corn do not affect this disease.

So I am kinda confused which resource should I follow?

Pls help.

thankx

Hey there. I understand the confusion but I've never heard of Uworld so I would follow with what Kaplan and Saunders provides. Kaplan is a great resource to use.

Thank you for replying so fast,

Uworld is another web site that offers nclex questions with really good rationale,

but when it comes to lab values and some interventions it is really confusing!

i am gonna stick to Saunders.

UWorld updates their questions like crazy to be consistent with evidence-based practice.

Concerning the difference between the two about this particular disease process: you'll remember the differences about this if you see it on NCLEX... so, just answer to the best of your ability and knowledge. Right now, you have more knowledge about it than most test takers.

Who's to say that the newer research is "damning" enough for the NCLEX to consider and who's to say there isn't other evidence that's just as recent which suggests the opposite?

I wouldn't concern myself about specifics like that - remember, NCLEX is looking for minimal competency - the VAST MAJORITY of students would select "avoid nuts and corn" in a question like that.. a GREAT MAJORITY of students end up passing the exam.

Take a deep breath, and good-luck :)

Thank you,

you really reduced my anxiety, I will do my best to pass this exam.

I'll go with seed and nuts.. cause it makes sense and I think the answer won't update that quick in Nclex...and my test is 22nd too.hope we will pass...I just used saunders and Kaplan and didn't use Uworld...so nervous cause everybody used uworld passed and lots of kaplaners failed. hope i can be lucky this time

Finger crossed,

u can get a week for free on UWorld, just go to Google and type UWorld free week, u can take a look at it before the exam.

I considered about it..But I'm afraid if I find tons of things i don't know will make me super anxiety. there's 3 days left. i'm gonna just go over kaplan..if i failed this time, i'll definitely go for Uworld. So sad that i heard of Uworld too late.

I agree with Kaplan. Anything with greater chance of getting trapped in the diverticuli would cause problems.

Will say a prayer for you. You can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Good luck

FlyAcrossOcean,

You can do this!!! Prayers to all of you and wish I were with you. Good luck......

Thank you, plz keep us in your prayers:)

I took the test a couple of days ago and from my experience, I'll go by what Kaplan says. If you feel well prepared and confident with content yo are ready for the boards.

Good luck to you all
