Hello everyone....

I'm a new grad nurse and passed my nclex rn exam recently. Now Im looking for a job but still I cant find one. Most of the hospitals and Skilled Nursing facilty required one year experience or more. I have no experience at all and I dont know what to do and i dont know how will I start. Also most of new graduate nurse program are close. I want to work now, not because of the money, but i want to my career to grow. I want to apply my skill and what I learned on my school. Its really really sad.... Please give me some encouragement my fellow nurses... and advice what to do as a new grad nurse....:crying2::crying2::crying2:... your response is appreciated... thank you so much....

I'm not in the US, but a similar thing happened to me. It's hard not to get discouraged.

Can u go through a nursing agency? Some of them here in Aust do ongoing Graduate Nurse Programs (dunno wot they're called over there). If not, some also take u on in private hospitals. Wot about psych or nursing homes, will they take u?

Apply for all the graduate programs for the next year, and for now, do any training courses u can to keep up ur skills. Keep studying something different every week, and keep brushing up on ur pharmacology as well.

If u still can't get a nursing job, take any job u can to keep ur spirits up.
