Need advice!!!

So I took my teas test the other day and I'm applying to utmb for their traditional bsn program this fall. My gpa is a 3.84 with a 4.0 in my sciences. I made an overall score of 80% on the teas. Science: 72.3 reading: 89.4 math: 93.8 & English: 58.3. On the utmb website is says "in order to be considered a competitive applicant, we require a 60% in each section of the teas. I'm afraid I won't get accepted now that I'm about 2 points off in the English portion. In your honest opinion, do you think I would have a chance of getting accepted with these scores? They also take into consideration your personal statement, work experience, and give interviews. Thanks in advanced for any tips given!

Well, to begin with, a question like yours will be best answered if you speak to someone in the admissions office. As for right now, based on the info you provided, since you did not score at least 60% on each subtest of the TEAS, it appears you are not qualified to apply for the program. However, there might be other unforeseen circumstances, let's say, more applicants with even lower scores will apply, which will make you more qualified than others. But back to my original advice: to be sure, just contact your school's admissions office.

I completely agree. I'm going to be calling tomorrow unless their offices are closed, then I will call Monday. It doesn't exactly say they require a 60 in all sections, but that would make one a competitive applicant. I guess I will have to ask the admissions personnel.
