Hi all
I am looking for some insight. I am currently a nurse in a NICU that is very well known and takes on the sickest of the sick. I started as a new grad and have been there for a year. I cannot say I love it at all, in fact I dread every day I have to go in. I stuck with it because I'm not a quitter and thought the feeling would pass but it hasn't. The job is extremely stressful and taxing on my emotions and personal life. I still want to stay in pediatrics and was offered a job in pediatric home health care that is full time and day and afternoon shifts which is good because I currently rotate between shifts every 6 weeks and cannot sleep for anything on nights and always feel depressed. I was just wondering if anyone has worked in home care and did you like it? Do u like the autonomy and is it less stressful than the hospital? Just don't want to regret anything. So any advice on my current situation or tips would be great. Thanks!
