I'm trying to figure out how much time I should spend studying for the NCLEX....

If I pass all my classes, I'll be graduating this June 10 and I want to start studying right away....

But I will like to know what u guys think...how much time should I spend studying before going to do my test*

I'm so nervous that I can't even sleep....is horrible:s

Tell me what u think please:nurse:

Hi, I studied for about two weeks 4-6 hrs a day before my test but everybody is different. I do suggest doing at least 100 questions a day. Good luck!

the question is what resource are you utilizing to prepare right now to prepare for NCLEX while taking classes? Because for the NCLEX, you need to go way beyond knowing just the content on your fingertips, because the test is more application unlike what you have been used to in college level questions testing your knowledge.

everyone is different but lets say for example you want to test 2 months after graduation... My advice is to do @ least 100 questions/day.....dont do more than 150/day.....do the application type questions and work on weak areas ....i used an nclex 4000 CD which showed me which areas i was bad in after the diagnostic test...i worked on that...scores improved and i just passed on april 26

I agree with what srangel said. You'll be fresh out of nursing school. Don't wait too long to test. Of course take a little break after you graduate, everyone needs it.

You already have the needed nursing content, so practice practice practice QUESTIONS! Learn your weaknesses & why you got the questions wrong. You need to learn how to answer NCLEX type questions such as prioritization and delegation.

Most people take from three weeks to three months.
