hello everyone! im a newbie here in allnurses.com. i have some questions and i hope you can give me some advice. i have a bsn degree and i recently passed the nclex-rn. i am now waiting for my papers and due to retrogression, the processing may take longer. i want to have an experience as a nurse (even if not a rn - may be a nurse asst) in australia or new zealand. how do i go about it? i read about "occupational trainee visa or subclass 442" and iam just wondering if it is easy to get this kind of visa. are there any organization that can sponsor me for the subclass 442 visa? can you suggest some of the organization who does...
i hope you an help me with my queries... your immediate response is greatly appreciated. thank you.
regards

Gwenith has listed some good information in the second sticky above. I recommend you visit :

They are government sites and will give you specifics. You also have to check which state you are planning to go to as each has different requirements in order to become registered here.
With regards to visas and sponsoring, contact the Australian Embassy for the most accurate info. Good luck
thank you so much.... one more question, have you heard about occupational trainee visa or subclass 442? thanks again...:balloons:
No I haven't. I figure though if you search the immigration site it may help you. If you ring an embassy they should be able to give more info. Once again, best of luck :)
