Need advice from those experienced and wise

Ive been having difficulty even getting interviews and I managed to get a phone interview monday for an amazing position with alot of room for growth. The phone interview went really well she immediately scheduled me to meet with the manager. She also said that she really felt I had a passion for the profession(which i do).

My interview in person is tomorrow how do I keep up this momentum and impress the manager and lock up this job. I really want it. They have great benefits, an amazing nurse pt ratio{ she said never anymore than 4-1 at nite 3-1 in the day) But mostly their mission statement fits into what my philosiphy on nursing. They believe in holistic care and have special interest in caring for the poor.....

I WANT THIS JOB!!!!!

Any advice on getting it?:nurse:

Hi,

This will probably sound very simplistic but you'd be surprised at the people that aren't prepared. I would arrive a few minutes early, dress very professionally, bring a resume, written references, copy of your license, CPR card, drivers license, soc. card etc. Be prepared to answer more of the same interview questions on your strengths/weaknesses etc. Your post sounds so enthusiastic that I'm sure your positive energy will show through and they will snatch you right up. Good luck.

Hi,

I agree with Jules A. You sound like you know about the company, and how you would fit in the company. Wow them with your personality (which shows in your words) and be honest. I have no doubt you will get the job. Let me know what happens.

I had my interview today and I think it went great!! I was in there for about an hour and 15 min. The made me feel so relaxed ( i was in with a nurse manager and a floor nurse) They seemed happy with my answers and even made small talk. We got along well. Then after the interview the nurse manager took me around the unit and showed me everything and introduced me to the other nurses. Im hoping all these things are a good sign. She said I should here something by early next week at the latest.

Sounds like you're already prepared just by being excited about the position. Share with them your passion for nursing and how the facility's mission is in line with what you believe. Good luck!
