I started my 2nd year of my ADN last week, and yes I am nervous, overwhelmed and excited at the same time. It is going to be an extremely busy year, but it will be worth it. I am nervous about clinicals because we are going to be expected to accomplish alot more, we have only ever had 1 patient, and will have 4 by the end of the semester, so I am very nervous about that.
We can do it!

I start tomorrow too. I'm nervous also. new professor, new clinical instructor, new clinical group. If we rock our first two care plans they will be our last!! SBAR and focused nursing notes only!! No pressure to do well on the first two what so ever?!

I am into my third week now... Level 2 is a whole new world! All last year we were coddled and coached and not allowed to touch a patient without our instructor there... This year our instructors treat us like real nurses!!! We are doing it all...without someone constantly breathing down our necks! Of course our instructor is there for the important stuff like passing meds, but I feel like a baby bird being pushed out of the nest and you have to fly! I'm actually loving it and feel like it will prepare me for when I graduate in May.
What a difference a year makes!!!

You made it this far, you will do great! I graduate in a few months and I remember how much of a wake up call third semester was. You just plow through it and do what you have to do :)
