Hi!
Im having a hard time prepping/studying for the NCLEX-RN exam. I graduated in 2017 (had a long and stressful nursing school experience). I tried Kaplan and purchased their online self-paced course and for both in class and online practice questions....I don’t know the answers! I’ve forgotten soo much content that I don’t even know where to begin and it’s frustrating. I’m lacking the dedication, motivation and focus that I need in order to succeed! I appreciate any and all advice or suggestions. If anyone knows of a tutor in the NYC area please let me know. Thank you!!!

When using Kaplan I always kept a notepad handy, any question where I didnt recognize a medication, or I couldn't remember a specific disease process or lab, I would write it down. After the test I would do a quick google search to either refresh my memory or do some more in depth research if I really did not remember the topic. I also remediated every question of every practice test, I didn't always think the explanation Kaplan gave was the best, but it was a starting point to guide my learning.

I used ATI for Nclex prep it was included in my nursing program. It includes predictors/exams, reading content/review, and rationales/questions. It also includes a virtual coach (I found mine more annoying than helpful). It works and prepares you with both questions and knowledge. I think it will be a good review of nursing knowledge since you graduated a while ago. It comes with a ton of books to review all the content from school as well as the e-books. You can take a test, look at the rationales and the associated remediation is highlighted for you to read in the e-books. I think it's a 12 week review. A negative is that it is expensive.

Just took the test and passed at 75. I used uworld and I feel like it definitely helped me get familiar with alot of things. So once I took the test I had general knowledge about pretty every thing or atleast enough to make a good guess. I also got some mark klimek recordings from a friend that helped with like 2-3 questions. Overall the test wasn't bad at all and I over studied tbh.
