NCLEX Tips anyone?

Hello all!

Well, it's crunch time for me. Got my ATT yesterday and scheduled my NCLEX for July 19th (the next nearest day available, sadly).

There are so many resources available and it all seems overwhelming. Any tips on what to do or what to use to study? I am currently doing Virtual ATI, but I don't feel that it's helping me much. I'm considering signing up for UWorld since I hear amazing things about it. I just did a demo of UWorld and was so shocked by how great the questions and rationales are! I also have a Saunders book and a Lippincott book. I have also signed up for a NCLEX course starting next week called Ready to Pass, which I hear is also fantastic.

So, any tips for me as I count down the days until July 19th?

Hi:

I took mine on June 13 and I passed. So I recently felt like you are feeling right know.

First of all, you have to calm down. If you studied as I did, you have to feel confident. Have a positive acttitute is a must.

I used some free apps and answered over 4,000 questions, In my opinion reading those rationales is one of the best way for studying. And keep looking your books. Identify your weaknesses as part of you readyness.

Saunders is a great resource. I used a lot of their questions as a way to study/review content. While the questions themselves are not difficult and rather straightforward, the rationales are exactly on point. I also used the LaCharity Priority, Delegation, and Assignment book. I highly recommend it, as it is all questions. I had lots of Priority questions on my NCLEX. My school made us take ATI, and while I hated it, I think the questions were more difficult than the NCLEX. I did the Hurst Review, which is a great content review and their questions were also harder. I also used the NCLEX-RN Mastery app, which was good. I did about 50 questions a day from it. I thought the questions were generally NCLEX level.

I took mine yesterday. Got 75 questions and passed. I used UWorld and lacharity. Most of my test was prioritization and infection control

Hey futurenurse16, do you still happen to have your ReadyToPass study guide book. I'd like to read it for content, and I'm willing to take it off your hands. Email: [email protected] Thanks! :)
