Hey Guys, I am considering enrolling in EC and had a question about taking the NCLEX exam. If I have completed all the exams and am waiting for the CPNE exam are there any SNB that would allow me to take the NCLEX exam piror to graduating from EC. Mine requires me to graduate from nursing school piror to taking the exam are there any that will allow to u take the exam piror to graduation? I think that LPN-BSN do this all the time and they take the NCLEX exam in their second year piror to graduation.
thanks

A requirement is that you have a completed set of transcripts to sit for the Boards. The RN students that have completed the first part of their training can sit for the LPN Boards, when they have had equivlane to that part of the training, but to sit for the RN boards requires that you have completed your schooling.
I do suggest that you do some more homework on what you are planning to do, the EC program is not accepted in all states, especially without already having the LPN license behind you.
Also, be aware that if somehow you manage to get this done, by the times that you, etc. you are also going to have t do an orientation, this is normally done for at least six weeks on a full-time basis..............if not even longer.
I seriuosly suggest that you really do your homework and find out what really is required................I do not think that you have done that yet..........
Sorry................nursing is not the same as medicine, completely different animal................

You must be a graduate of an accredited (and approved, by the SBON for the state in which you will be sitting the NCLEX-RN) nursing program in order to be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN. There is no state that I've ever heard of that will let you write the exam before you finish school.
Sorry, there is no "quick 'n dirty" way to get licensed as an RN, even with a background in another healthcare discipline (which is what it sounds like you are looking for).

When I was in nursing school (ADN program) we were eligible to sit in "only" for the LPN licensure exam after our third semester in the "actual" nursing program ( prereqs not included). As far as I know you can only sit in for the NCLEX-RN once you have completed the RN program, I don't think there's other ways to get around it but finish the RN program first.
