NCLEX 2

Hi everyone :)

In behalf of my fiance, I'm here to ask suggestions from you my fellow nurses. :)

My fiance graduated BSN year 2013 here in the Philippines but he didn't take

the nursing licensure exam here which he believed is not a requirement for NCLEX.

He already sent his requirements to the Board of Nursing in California but they asked my

fiance to take a refresher course. My fiance disagreed and decided to move to Texas to

take the exams. Questions are, Will he still be allowed to take the NCLEX in Texas although he graduated 2 years ago and have no any hospital working experience yet? :)

What are the requirements needed? Are we going to take exams first before the Board of Nursing in Texas allows us to take the NCLEX? Thank you so much fellow nurses.

Hoping for your reply here and to my previous post. God bless you all! :)

Without eligibility to sit the exam from the state you can not sit the exam. Requirements will be on the state BON but he will need to go through CGFNS or other acceptable agency for a report on transcripts.

Here's the website of Texas BON, try to browse the req for NCLEX-RN trained outside the US and you can always give them a call if you need to clarify some concerns. Some of the States do require that you hold a license where you graduated, but I don't know with Texas. Hope you'll find the answers you seek :) God bless you too!
