NCLEX support

I recently took the exam Monday 11/23/09. Really was nothing like i expected. The test shut off at 120 questions on the dot. I was sure i had failed after leaving the testing center. However i found out on Wednesday that i passed :yeah:. This may help some that have yet to take the test: Instead of paying the fee to get the unoffical results through Pearson, i went to the state board of nursing website and did a licensure verification. Where it previously said Examination Permit Information, it said RN license information. My status had changed to active. And it showed the date the licensed was issued 11/25. I called the Board to verify. I live in Louisiana. Don't know if it works other places but its worth a try instead of paying the fee. So i only had to suffer for 2days and found out for free. I highly recommend ATI to prepare. Thats all i used. And i spent some time up at the book store just researching. I know its hard, but try to not get yourself worked up during the test and focus! Read the question carefully, but don't think TOO deep into things. The questions arent the tricky party, the answers are. When selecting and answer, make sure u pick something thats gonna keep your patient alive. ABCs/Safety. Really review safety, infection control, drugs, delegation, dosage, lab values, test procedures, and of course u need to be able to prioritize! There may be stuff on there you have never heard of before. Use your nursing judgement and the process of elimination. Remember the test is not seeing how many questions you get right, but the questions they feel a safe competent nurse should answer right at the bare minimum. So don't freak out and just keep rolling with the punches. From what i gather, it is common for most test takers to feel they have failed the test. This causes high levels of stress. Try not to let your mind wonder too much and just relax. The hardest part is over. You've taken the test. You either passed or failed and the decision has already been made. Don't put added stress on yourself. Treat yourself to a day at the spa, catch a movie, or do something fun to take your mind off things. Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Regardless don't ever let anything keep you from reaching your goals! If you can make it through nursing school, you can do just about anything!!! Have confidence in yourself! This whole process to become an RN is near torture, but rewarding at the end! NCLEX is the last obstacle. Have fatih and don't ever give up! :heartbeat:up:

Thanks and Congratulations!
