I am confused. I read on some of the nclex postings comments that refer to studying too much. I guess I'm confused as to why it would work against me to study as much as I can for example do as many questions as I feel comfortable with in a day. Is there some rationale out there that outlines exactly what is too little and what is too much to study for the NCLEX?
I am waiting for my ATT so I expect that I won't be able to test until July. My school provided the Kaplan review and so far I have completed Question Trainers 1,2 and 3 and roughly 500 Q-bank questions. The time period has been approximately two weeks time. Am I studying too much? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Good luck to everyone with their studying.

I am sure I myself over prepared. As I did thousands of questions in a 3 weeks span, I am kind of OCDish though so when I get focused on something that is what I do. I have had many friends say "oh you cant study for Nclex" and they didnt and they passed. Go figure. My thought was I did not want to drive up to take my test and think "gee I wish I would have studied more" So I gave it my all, for just 3 weeks. I stopped a few days before my test though, I tested on a Weds and did not study from Sunday on before the test.
One of my dear friend takes her Nclex tomorrow and she has probably only done 300 questions since graduation, I am sure she will be fine. But I am guessing she will probably be stressed more than I was. I knew I had given it my all--so I was relaxed when I took it, I literally felt like I was doing my Davis disk in my family room. I even had my legs up on the desk at PearsonVue and my seat titled way back.
I think it depends on the person, the extensive practicing actually calmed my nerves, and I think the anxiety of Nclex is worse than the actual test.
So if it feels good to you to study then by all means do it, do what feels right for you.

I think the more the better prepared you will be. Just pace yourself and relax a little. You will do fine.
