Hello to all of my fellow test takers. I am scheduled to take the NCLEX RN as a first time test taker at the end of this month. I noticed that many people utilized the "35 page study guide" as part of their preparation for the NCLEX.

I'm using Hurst, Remar, Kaplan, and Judy Miller in order to prepare...My question is: Does the "study guide "really help? if so, in what way? I ask only because I work fulltime and have very little time left for studying, so I want to use the time that I have left wisely. For those of you that have used this guide before, please post your experience and opinion.

My nerves are frazzled, I am growing very tired of studying I can't wait to pass!!!!

For those that are unfamiliar with the study guide, you may access same with the following link:

You can find it here: https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussio...de-622449.html

I didn't study it, I read through it once and found a lot of the info is repeated. It jogged a couple of memories for me.

Let the buyer beware. This is simply a composite of someone's notes, there have been several members that have posted they have found errors and/or inconsistencies in the information included in this document.

It is generally recommended that those preparing for the NCLEX use reputable resources whether it be an in person review, text books utilized in school, ATI, Kaplan, Hurst, LaCharity, Saunders, Exam Cram, etc. rather than a random free resource found online. No one resource is the best source for every individual preparing for the NCLEX. While Kaplan may work for one candidate, Hurst or Sauders may work better for the person sitting next to them. You need to know where your preparation needs to be focused: content, strategy, specific information (i.e. pharmacology, conditions, lab values, etc) in order to best prepare yourself. Most resources offer a pre-test to see where you need to focus your efforts on.

Good luck.
