NCLEX software

Published

Hi,

I am a new student, 51 years old and beginning Foundations next week. Our instructors came in to introduce themselves which is so fun. One of the things they mentioned is that they strongly recommend that we begin practicing our NCLEX questions now. Their reasons were that it takes time to develop critical thinking and if we get into the practice of doing 50 questions a day right from the beginning, our transformation will happen naturally.

So my question to you guys, what NCLEX software, and also which apps are worth spending on?

I have the Saunders, Hurst & Pearson NCLEX books. I love them but I would like to have some software to install and have that available as well.

Thank you,

Johanne

I personally felt like Kaplan was the most similar to the actual NCLEX. Saunders was great for content, but Kaplan was better to develop those critical thinking skills.

If you are looking for an app on your phone, I personally liked NCLEX mastery because it has graphs that break down your weak areas. For a visual learner like me, that was helpful! And I would just do questions on it whenever I had a couple minutes of down time, like before a movie or during bathroom breaks.

NCLEX Mastery for your phone, definitely. I use it whenever I'm waiting in line, etc.

I also use UWorld for content and test-taking strategy practice, in addition to what feels like every NCLEX book under the sun (FA Davis Success Series, Davis Q&A, Lippincott, Saunders, etc.)
