NCLEX results

How long did you have to wait for your NCLEX result to be posted?

I took my NCLEX on a Wednesday, and finished around 3 p.m. My results were on the website by 8 a.m. on Friday morning. Because I didn't use my social security number on my application (I used my drivers license number), I couldn't check using the phone system, so I had to wait until the database updated. Not a long wait, though. :) It was only another week until I had my license in hand.

Dang, things have changed! When I took the NCLEX, it took me six weeks to get my results. Of course I had to wait for them to be mailed to me. This was back in 1994. We were the first year that they did the NCLEX on computer. :)

And you had to walk uphill both ways in the snow to get the testing center, right? :D Seriously, I would have gone stark raving MAD if I had to wait that long for results! When I was in paramedic school, we still had to take the test with pencil and paper, but thanks to the Paramedic National Registry website, I was able to check my results and see that "PASS" a couple of weeks before my envelope arrived in the mail. :)
