NCLEX Prep Help

Hi guys

So I will soon start studying for the NCLEX, so I just wanted your input on how you studied for this? What was your study schedule like? How long did you study for this test? Did you go over every content from scratch or just studied materials that you had weaknesses on? and etc.

I will not be taking any NCLEX classes, so what are some very good books to study for this test apart from Saunders?

Thanks for your time

Have you perused this forum yet? There are a lot of posts with exactly this info.

FWIW, I think trying to cover EVERYTHING is a setup for disaster. You're better off scanning everything just to have it fresh in your mind, but investing your time on the stuff you know you're weak on.

I would find a way to answer NCLEX-style questions as much as you can, because the content questions aren't the passing questions, it's more about learning how to take NCLEX-style questions, how they prioritize, etc.

I graduate tomorrow (pinning was tonight), and I've been consistently studying for a good couple of weeks now. Aside from this weekend and Monday (because I'm having surgery), I'm studying every day, at least a little bit. I have Post-Its around the house to read while doing dishes, brushing my teeth, etc.

Hope that helps some!
