NCLEX-PN

I just took my NCLEX-PN yesterday and it shut off at around 124 questions. My heart sank as soon as it shut off and I immediately thought I failed. Half of my exam was select all that apply and I just remember extremely easy questions before I finished. Did I just fail my exam!!!!?? Waiting another 24 hours is just torture so does anyone know if the Pearson vue trick still works?

Hi, and welcome to AN :)

I see this is your first post, so I'm going to ask you to look down the list of threads on this message board (NCLEX Discussion) and you will see countless discussions....all about PVT, NCLEX, etc. I have a lot of information here, as do many others, and you will find the answers you seek if you read.

But to keep you in your skin for now, the number of SATA you got is irrelevant. It is a format type, not an indication of higher or lower level questions. Having 124 questions is equally meaningless. Not sure why people keep asking "did anyone ever pass with XX number of questions?!?" because the answer is "of course". People pass and fail with EVERY possible number of questions.

The PVT is a topic unto itself; I WILL tell you that if you choose to do it, ANY POP UP you get prior to 24 hours is utterly meaningless. The reason is you need to wait until the QA review is done, and THAT is not done until sometime during 24 hours....and you cannot know exactly when. You also risk losing money and STILL not knowing, either way, as there are more and more incidences of 'test charges' placed by Pearson Vue (about time, I'm personally thinking) and it's non-refundable.

With that.....happy reading :)
