Stay calm & relax. Remember go into the examination from a critical thinking and safety perspective & keep this in mind for every question. Read the question 2 - 3 times and make sure you understand what the question is asking. If an answer jumps out immediately, re-read that question, because that option could be the distractor. Lastly, please do not think about anything else b4 or duing that exam (such as I need to pass this to get a new job, or to benefit my child or to help my family), b/c this will create undue pressure and anxiety. Now relax and GO GET YOUR LICENSE.

I take the NCLEX in a few hours today too :) Good luck to you. I hope we both pass :)

@nikku I too have horrible test anxiety. I really had trouble thinking, but between every question I would take a deep breath and say, "hailey, stop worrying, you know this stuff!" Honestly I was so scared, but I was able to calm my self down. While your taking practice exams, practice test anxiety coping mechanisms. ( Deep breathing, saying positive things to your self, etc.)

I was an average student in nursing school, and with Kaplan I was able to learn how to critically think through those questions!

Believe me you will be fine!

I walked in there at 2pm and I was the last one there, I am usually a really fast test taker but I paced myself and was able to make it last 45 mins. (Which is a long time for me) just make sure you pay attention to key words such as, requires further teaching or demonstrates understanding. When I get nervous I do not read the question, so make sure you read the question 2-3 times.

Congratulations to you and thank you for the advice :)
