So at my school there's a few pre-reqs, much like at any other school.
You don't have to take Chemistry if you have some high school chemistry and...something else. I forget what but it's not relevant.
It's not relevant because you need Macrobiology and you can't take that without Chemistry.
The whole blasted thing contradicts itself like that over and over. Thank goodness for my mama being a nurse to help me straighten it out. Anytime I want to know anything about it and I go to my school they want me to talk to one specific counselor.

So you don't have to take chemistry but need a college chemistry for micro? Hah that is brilliant! They might as well make chemistry a freakin requirement, they aren't saving you anything!

So, if it's a prereq for a prereq, they know you'll take it, and if you're an informed student you'll factor such classes to your plan of study to take the right courses in the proper order.
I fail to see the problem here.

Crazy, isn't it? Mine is the same way. Chemistry isn't a pre-req for the nursing course (i.e. it doesn't count toward the point system) but it is a requirement for Microbiology, so if you don't have a qualifying high school chemistry then you have to take it.
I'm suffering through a horrible chem class right now and just keep reminding myself that I just need a passing grade so I can qualify for micro.

Ya do what you gotta do. Take the chemistry.
I have a feeling my A&P Lab was organized by a monkey. Labs at my school are incomprehensible.
