MUSC PhD Program - Fall 2018

Hi everyone. I just recently completed my application to MUSC's Fall 2018 PhD program. Has anyone else applied? It was difficult to find the acceptable rates/stats for the program and would love to go through this waiting game with other hopeful candidates.

I got the FNP track! They might be sending them out based on program so if you are AGNP i wouldnt get too nervous!

I got accepted to the PMHNP track. I can post the stats tonight when I get to work.

Hi everyone I have been following this post for a couple of weeks now. I got my acceptance email yesterday for the FNP program. I am still nervous because a previous person stated she got an acceptance email, but her letter stated other wise. Does anyone know the stats for FNP? Hopefully I will get my letter next week. Congratulations to all who have been accepted.

I got my acceptance email at 4:16pm from Alicia yesterday for DNP-FNP track!!!! Can't wait to get my official letter in the mail.. I'm so happy and I hope you all get accepted!!!!! Good luck!

I believe the person was told over the phone they had been accepted but then received a rejection letter. Either way, I'm still a little nervous too. I will post stats tonight.

Thank you for clearing that up. I was thinking they had received an email. Either way I will feel better once I have the physical acceptance letter in my hand. I look forward in seeing what the stats look like. Thank you for taking the time to post them.

DNP - Adult Nurse Practitioner: PostB - 12 accepted, 7 not offered. 4 in progress (maybe these are standby/waitlist applicants?))

DNP - Advanced Practice Nurse: PostM - no acceptances posted

DNP - Executive Leadership and Innovation: PostB - 1 acceptance, 1 not offered

DNP - Executive Leadership and Innovation: PostM - no acceptances posted

DNP - Family Nurse Practitioner: PostB - 68 acceptances, 49 not offered, 3 pending

PhD in Nursing: PostB - no acceptances posted

PhD in Nursing: PostM - no acceptances posted

DNP - Psychiatric Mental Health: PostB - 11 acceptance, 6 not offered, 8 in progress

DNP - Psychiatric Mental Health: PostM - no acceptances posted

DNP - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner: PostB - 10 acceptances, 4 not offered, 10 in progress

I wonder what the difference is between "in progress" and "pending". "In progress" makes me think they are still reviewing the application, but I can't figure out "pending". Maybe it means they haven't updated the status?

Thank you for posting this information

Heys guys for the DNP - Family Nurse Practitioner postB I meant to post 3 in progress NOT pending. Sorry for that mistake. In progess may mean they are still reviewing those applications or they may be standby applicants if people don't accept. The pending applications are offers for admissions that people have not accepted, deferred, or declined yet, which no one has yet. To clarify, I have been calling the pending apps acceptances since they are offers for admission.

Got my acceptance on 4/6. Does anyone have any idea about working full time while doing the DNP family?

My friend and coworker is in the DNP family. He started working full time then switched to two 12's a week to keep up with school. The program is pretty rigorous and he says its not really designed for working full time. That being said, I'm still going to try to attempt the program while working full time.
