MUSC PhD Program - Fall 2018

Hi everyone. I just recently completed my application to MUSC's Fall 2018 PhD program. Has anyone else applied? It was difficult to find the acceptable rates/stats for the program and would love to go through this waiting game with other hopeful candidates.

Congratulations! I did call a little while ago and I was accepted to the FNP program. I am so excited and can't wait for the letter to come just to confirm it.

Congrats! I have not heard back either. I emailed someone in the admissions department yesterday and was told I should have received an email, and if I hadn't by this Friday, to check back with her. Who is the correct person to email? Thanks in advance.

I spoke with Alicia Garcia in the CON. 843-792-8515. The emails some from her.

I emailed too and got no response, which is why I finally called today.

Congratulations!

Has anyone in the DNP program received their admission packet yet? I live local in the Charleston area and still haven't received anything. It's making me nervous!

Alicia said they were mailed out Friday and Monday and judging by one of the PhD candidate's letter timing that would put it arriving Fri or Mon. I'm local and still haven't received mine.

That makes me feel a bit better. Hopefully we get them soon. I'm anxious to get something in writing and secure my spot.

I haven't received anything yet either. I was hoping my letter would have come yesterday or today. Hopefully they will come by Monday. I am getting anxious as well.

No letter in the mail today and I live in Charleston.

Let me start by saying that I feel so bad for Alicia. This time of year must be so hard on her and I know we probably haven't made it any easier on her. I figured that I would give you all an update on what she said just now. I asked if she would be willing to try to email me the packet or if it was something I might be able to come pick up and she said that she is asking everyone to wait to receive the USPS packet until next Thursday (4/19/18) and that she would try to email people (seemingly again) on Tuesday if she could. She said she is now in the middle of another wave of decisions for another program so she wasn't able to do it until at least then. I hope this helps everyone.

Thank you for the update. I was going to contact her on Monday if I didn't have anything by then. I wonder what the possible email on Tuesday would include. Just a copy of the one we already have?
