Mthfr

Does anyone know of any good patient information to use for patient education concerning MTHFR? I've not been able to find any good references. Thanks!

why did i read this and think of a dirty word???

I actually have this and from what I have researched on just my own there is really not much. Maybe take folic acid, and when I was pregnant I had to take heparin TID and be on coumadin for a while after delivery, but otherwise not much. I did have a PE years ago thats why they found out I had it.... Good luck I guess that wasnt all that helpful!! sorry.

Search for websites of reproductive endocrinology practices in your area (or anywhere in general.) A lot of them will post information sheets on their websites about common conditions and procedures they deal with. I'm not sure if there are any for MTHFR, but it's worth a shot. Or check out the RE/infertility journals.

You could also try searching for infertility internet forums.

Hey! Thanks for all the good info., and the great laugh! I really needed it today. Leave it to OB/GYN nurses! Your thoughts are the same as the girls in our local hospital lab, they get me each time I call for a result.
