Their website says they dont maintain a waiting list... but they only accept 24 students per year. I work and am a native San Diegan but currently commute from Hemet,CA which is right around the corner.:typing

When they say they don't have a waiting list that means they take the top 24 qualified applicants, based on a point system, and the rest get to reapply again next time around. It is a pretty good school, but you will still be fighting for a spot.

Actually at this particular community college they only take the applicants with the top 24 GPAs only. THey don't do a point system here. Basically if you have a 4.0 in the pre-reqs, you're pretty much in. I had a 3.921 and I couldn't get in, b/c I got two A-'s when I went to UCI.
I tutor Microbilogy at this CC and I recommend to a lot of them to go elsewhere and just get on a waiting list if they don't have a 4.0.
THey do take 4 based on lottery during the Sept application period and 2 during the Feb application period.
I can't say that I've heard the best things about the program, and this is from Nurses already in the hospitals that the students are working at... but I don't know firsthand, this is all hearsay.

I can give first hand info just PM me and I will be happy to share my experience.
I am attending there now.
there is no waiting list but you do have to have the GPA.
they say they pick 4 lottery but they did not do that this past semester we started with only 22 students, not sure what happened there.
Also the local hospitals have a program you sign on with them for x amount of time they will get you in and pay for the program, I hear there is no waiting list for that now (Hemit and Rancho springs) I would call their HR and inquire.
