about Mt. Sac Nursing Program and RCC

Hi everyone just want some advice. Currently I'm nearly done with Mt sac GED classes. All I need to do is take the nursing program Pre requisite class such as Anatomy 10 a and 10 b, Chemistry 10, Microbiology 1. But the thing is Mt sac has a long waiting list !! I'm considering to apply for RCC RN program after I finish the nursing pre reqs at Mt sac.

Does anyone know if the classes I take at Mt sac will count towards RCC nursing pre reqs ?

You should be able to use Mt sacs pre reqs. But some schools want you to have a certain amount of units of the sciences so you might have to take anatomy 35 & 36 instead of 10a & 10b but it all depends on the school. You might want to check the particular school you are looking at and see how many units they want. Also, Mt sacs program is closed for applying right now until they exhaust their wait list. After then, they will be going off of a point system. I heard they won't be opening up for applications until probably next year, but that gives you enough time to finish your sciences.

Thank you !

And yes they will open up next year but with a point system. There will not be any waiting lists but instead more competitive. Taking anatomy 10A this spring, nervous but excited about the challenge as well
