Hi. I'm looking for a nurse in Hawaii who's been treated for MRSA. I'm a local TV reporter and I'd like to do an educational story for the community, but with new federal privacy laws, it's been difficult to find a patient willing to talk about the experience. If someone's willing to help, please send me an e-mail at: [email protected].

Youve got to be kidding!!! Get a grip, go to the local hospitals health education department and their infection control departments and you can get all the information you need.
If only it were that easy. Try walking into a hospital with a video camera on your shoulder and see how far you get. Anyway, I've already contacted the two largest hospitals here and understandably, I'm not a priority. What I'm looking for is a first-person perspective, not an authoritative one. I've already done those interviews.

You don't walk in with a video camera if you want the interview, you call and make an appointment, speak to the right people about what you're wanting to cover, and then you might be able to do an interview with someone.
Walking in any healthcare facility will always get a door slammed in your face, because of privacy.
Never mind...
Sorry, but it's the truth. It's part of protecting pt. privacy.
Dont be sorry. There was something else behind this post. It made no sense in the first place.
