white house is a small rural community but i guess you already know that! i would steer away from skyline. it is referred to around here as flatline rather than skyline. it's a beautiful facility but they have a bad reputation. i hear they are in the process of changing the name. that's desperate! sumner regional may be a good option for you. they have a big bill board stating they are #3 in the country in employee job satisfaction. they would be the closest hospital to you. i do know their prn rate is $30/hr for med/surg with up to $4/hr more for ob or er. hendersonville medical center would be the next closest for you. 120 bed hca hospital. med/surg prn rate is $25/hr. prn rate willing to float $32/hr. new grad rn's in the nashville area average $18/hr. i know that an rn with 15 years experience averages about $24/hr.before shift differential. vandy is a good place to work, great benefits if you don't mind the drive. baptist pays the lowest in the area and patient to rn ratio is 9:1. they work 10 hour shifts which overlap with each other. i currently work in home health.

Thank you so much for your reply..I have checked out Vandy and it seems to be the most appealing..Skyline was next on my list to check..

I wonder what the travel wold be like into Vandy for 7p to 7a shift

is that a high traffic area?

I have 25 years critical care experience, Pediatrics PICU, NICU, OBS and adult ER...Is Sumner a large facility?

Thanks again....

Diana

hello Diana,

Sumner Regional has a website http://www.sumner.org with lots of info about the facility and all of its smaller facilities in surrounding counties.
