Moving to Texas

My family is moving to Austin, Tx in January and I am starting to job hunt right now.

do you 1) apply for a position right away or

2) apply for your nursing license first and then apply for the position 

 

I ask because I know some companies are willing to reimburse for license fees. In your experience what is best practice? How long does the licensing process take for Texas endorsement?
