Moving to MN/Rosemount!

Published

Hi there. I'm planning on moving to MN in the next couple months to be closer to family.

I'm planning on moving to the Rosemount area...are there hospitals or nursing jobs near this location? If so which ones?

Is Rosemount a good area? I'm a single 29 year old with close to a year experience in pediatrics!

I hope to hear from somebody!!

Thanks. :saint:

Hey there..sorry I don't know the answer but there is a cool website called city-data.com and they have a forum for each state..I think it gets a little more traffic then this one so maybe post a message there?? Good luck!!!

make sure to click forums at the top and then find Minnesota

Welcome to MN! I think Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville is probably the closest to Rosemount.

Otherwise HCMC is only about 15 miles up 35w in MPLS. Fairview Southdale in Edina, St Francis in Shakopee....Queen of Peace in New Prague....Plenty of hospitals within 20 miles or so of Rosemount.

Velkommen!

I think Fairview Ridges may be close to Rosemount. I'm not sure if they have peds, they are a smaller hospital. In downtown St Paul there is St Paul Childrens, there are other hospitals near by downtown-United, St Joes and Regions.

Rosemount is a nice area, alot of young families-it is really growing.

Best of luck to you.

Hey there... I live in Farmington which is about 10 minutes south of Rosemount. Fairview Ridges Hospital is in Burnsville. It does have a Peds floor and it is a really nice hospital. Once I get done with school, my goal is to work L & D there or possibly in the specail care nursery.

Also, Minneapolis.... Children's is downtown (as well as St. Paul Childrens)... Minneapolis works with Abbott Hospital and St. Paul is United.

I realize you posted this a month ago, I hope you are still watching for replies.... I'm not a nurse yet (still working on my pre-reqs) but I'm a volunteer at Ridges and have lived here all my life. Feel free to email me if you have any questions... here are some websites of the hospitals I mentioned too.... Good luck! I hope you like it here!

I wanted to add... Ridges was a smaller hospital in the past... but they have recently added 2 new floors (there are now 6) so it is growing quickly... so many people are moving to the "outskirts" of the city that they have to accomodate for the growing population. It still has that small town feel... which is nice... but it is growing.... HTH's
