Start by looking up information about a country prior to moving there. If you have an American license, you could possibly go to USA but then you have to think about how you received the license, what exam you had to take etc. You have to do the same for Canada. Canada is not the same as USA, and it has a more stricter evaluation procedure for accepting your nursing education in Jordon. Immigration is a separate issue because even if you successfully get your Canadian license, that has nothing to do with visas. You still have to figure out how to immigrate in Canada. Unfortunately, with the economy no hospitals sponsor foreign nurses in Canada now (only in extreme rare cases every like 5-6 yrs does this happen and they only select nurses from certain countries). You have to figure out other ways to immigrate to Canada. With the license processing taking a long time, you are looking at at least 3-4 yrs down the road, shorter if you have the English test score that Canada wants.

Start looking up information on CIC for immigration and NNAS for obtaining a Canadian nursing license. To be honest you might have a better luck in settling in America given that you have yrs of experience and that you already have a license to work there. Good luck!

As mentioned above, a bit harder to get into Canada so you need to research properly. What province are you looking at? Canada is a huge place with lots of different climates. Once you decide that look at the provincial College of RN and what the requirements are. English or French exam will be required depending on province. If you are lucky to find a employer willing to go the Temp Work Permit route you will find they will require you to have met college requirements before they will offer you a job.
