Hi everyone. Family may be moving to the North/Northwest Atlanta area in the near future. What are some great healthcare facilities to look at. I have 11 years as an ADN in a CV/Surgical IMCU unit. I am also just started a BSN completion program.
Thank you all.

I am bias, but Northside Hospital is voted #1 BMT Survival Rate, #1 Most Preferred for Surgical Services in Atlanta, #1 in the Nation for Births (the Baby Factory). You mentioned moving in Northwest Atlanta, they have a hospital in Canton, Ga which is close to Interstates 75/575. We are opening a new replacement hospital in 2015. Even with a ADN you could be considered.
Thank you for your reply.
We have actually decided on living in Dacula as my hubby's job is in Lawrenceville. Do you have suggestions for this area?
Thank you again,

Hey!! I just moved to Dacula from Illinois. My husband transferred to Athens. I have been an RN for 7 years and felt that it took awhile to land a job so start looking early. I took a position at Northside. Seems like a great place to work. There is Gwinnett Medical, Eastside Medical and hospitals in Athens if you want to commute. Good luck with your move.
Cool. How are you liking Northside? What hrs are you working? I am looking at Gwinnett Medical. Although not sure if I really want to work 7p -7a. I already did that for 6 years at my current job. Maybe we can meet up when we move down there.
Later.
I haven't started yet. I won't start until the 25th of August. And it's Northeast Georgia Medical Center, not Northside. I was confused. They are opening a brand new hospital in Braselton which isn't too far away from Dacula. They have ALOT of positions open. I will be working GI M-f. Check it out, I sure didn't want to go back to nights 12 hours. Plus, I have kids now. I applied to almost half of the positions at Gwinnett. I never got a phone call just an email saying I wasn't the chosen one. So good luck with them! I really hope you get in.We just moved here the being of July and like it so far.

Hey there is this still the case at northside - that they hire ASN nurses? I'll have an ASN, BS in business management, and 9 months of student nurse experience from a hospital trauma/neuro/ortho step-down unit. My desire is to be in pediatrics, nicu, or women's services. Is there one location that is more open to ASN grads? Thanks!
