Tweety hope you were able to get to yoga

Hi Stars

Church had a joint service with another church yesterday, attendance was pretty good. Stayed for coffee hour. Later drove to the zoo to meet my friend N. Walked around for about 2 hours or so, was a bit warm but we found shady areas to rest in. Rest of the day was pretty quiet

Sleep was a bit disrupted yesterday, probably from being out in the heat all day. Should sleep better tonight. Nothing unusual going on at work, though a coworker will be off today

Will be warmer today, in the low 90s

I have to get up and dressed and go to the bank, 'pronto tooty-sweetie' as Mom used to say.

A miracle has occurred....Tinker finally got the idea or understood that she was to do her business ON THE PEE-PAD! Hallelujah! The other dog does his on his pee-pad,and Tinker had done something on the bathmat, so when I was in the bathroom last night, I put the pad down in the spot where she had pooped and pointed to it 2-3 times saying, "This is where you should pee-pee" and when I got up this morning, there was her pee, on the pad. Boy did I praise her and tell her what a GOOD girl and a GOOD dog she was!

Tomorrow the POD arrives; I'm not exactly sure if they are going to be able to put it in front of the garage, as it is not 'perfectly flat', and I'm not sure about the other clearances they require, but they GOTTA put it somewhere even if it is on the street in front of the mailbox! It will work out one way or the other, I suppose! Last night at 11 PM, J was out there moving things around, and said she didn't need or want any help. Okay, then!

Time to get busy and get going. Tawk whichooz laydah!

Stars, that is a good movie. My book club had read the book, and I "made" Hubs watch the movie with me. He liked it, too.

Glad Little Doggy is doing well.

Hello, all! I'm officially off for the week, which means I might not reply frequently since the app won't cooperate on my phone. I'm still reading. My home laptop is so slow. We have a desktop, too, that I hardly ever think of using but it is also slow, just not as slow as my laptop.

Yesterday we drove to the lake and took the boat out but only under motor-power, didn't put the sails up. It was a cooler day (only upper 80s) after the T-storm that blew through Saturday night.

I slept so much better Thurs/Fri/Sat nights. Last night wasn't bad but I did have a little trouble sleeping. I think that magnesium supplement makes a difference.

Ado, hope you continue to sleep well.

Joe hope it's uneventful at work and you sleep well as well.

Over time I've put pads down where Waffles tends to pee in the house and sometimes it makes it there, other times it doesn't. She can't tell the difference between the bath mat and a pee pad though.

Worked my overtime shift today it was a busy day. At the end a family member went into another patient's room and started cursing at us that we weren't taking care of her. I told him it's not his concern as did security who gave him no wiggle worm and told him to shut up or be escorted out with the police called if necessary. I had drama while I'm in report trying to go home.

Take out Chinese for dinner.

I got all the bank-stuff done, well, except that I have to get my driver's license before I get my newly address'd checks from the banks. It is 'right handy' that here, the two banks I use are side-by-side; and the place where ya go to get your license is "The Tax Office". No DMV's here, by golly. But I bet it runs the same as it does everywhere else, regardless of the name.

We had the usual afternoon thundershowers. Ho hum. I think we are going to have pizza delivered tonight. I don't want to be the 'always-goes-out'er-for-food, and neither does S. because he has a hard time getting around, and I don't think J drives. Well she shouldn't yet anyway, because I did go and pick up her DRUGS today (hydrocodone) because she was out of them and hurting. She called the pharmacist and got it cleared for me to do the pick up. I came into the house and yelled out, "Honey, I'm home with the DRUGS!" 😉

Tomorrow I will have to wrassle with all the stuff in the POD and unload some of it to my room and some more of it into the garage. I was going to go get my driver's license, but I'd like to be freshly coiffed before I have to have my photo taken. Of course, that's no guarantee that it will be a good picture, but, y'know, being all sweaty and exhausted ain't a good look anyway! I may end up wishing I hadn't bothered trying to look decent! But I did find out a good place to get my nails done, from the woman at the bank who just had hers done, at a place called, um, LUXY'S (?!). She said they weren't too expensive and hers looked good, so ONE of these days, after I am through hefting boxes and bags and furniture around, I'll go over there and let 'em work on mine. It is close to WalMarts and, well, just about everything you could want is along I-17, so will be easy to find.

I miss the local news in NC, but oh well, oh well! Actually it is the weather-guy at the Charlotte station I like because he is so enthusiastic about the subject and is a natural-born 'explainer' so he does actually make it interesting. Another oh well, oh well.

Have to go have a conference about the pizza, in the room across the house. 🤑

Had the pizza. Have to get on line

Didn't I already mention the big tractor-trailer moving van that is blocking the road 3 houses up from ours, and how the POD delivery truck will not be able to get past it. I have tried at least 6 times now to leave PODs messages about it, but no responses from them that they have even rec'd ANY of those messages and they, who say they are so easy to get in touch with are most certainly NOT. The delivery window is between 9 AM and 12 Noon. The trailer up the road, blocking the road to our house has a broken brake line, and have assured me that they will be (hopefully) able to move the truck by 8 AM, but it is still up there and it is close to midnight. This is a Deja Vu post for me,as I have tried and tried to get in touch with PODS about it, but I am willing to bet they never heard or read anything that I have tried to contact them about, and I have complained about it to everyone online about it, and I thought that included allnurses, If you happen to find a gazzillion posts about this already, I it has been a long strange day,and I apologize if I have repeated myself endlessly, It's midnight and I have to go to bed because I have to be up early enough to catch the deliverers if they come at the earlier side of the time window for delivery. I ain't paying an extra fee if they can't deliver it because of that damn truck being in the way.It is completely beyond my control.

I'm soooooo tired and weary of this last minute stress about the pod delivery.UGH.

Over and out----
