Monday December 29th 2025

Good morning!

Woke up confused as to what day it was, first I thought I had to go to work, then I thought it was Tuesday.  My work week is off a bit because I'm working tomorrow and I don't work on Tuesdays, but I'm off Jan. 1.

Doing a load of laundry and will do housework and meal prep.  Nothing exciting.  I have to remember to pick up Waffle's drops from the pharmacy (I'm really happy the Publix does vet meds) and attend a Teams meeting at 3pm about Leadership Rounding.  Ugh.........

I am being totally slothful today. It is 1:40 PM and I am still lolling in bed, having my coffee. I woke up at 11 and took my meds and crawled back under the covers, then slept until 1:20 PM. Not dressed yet, either! I had put fresh hot water and dish detergent in the sink, so I can wash them later. I managed to ignore my cellphone through 4 calls and a voicemail while I slept. SiL wanted to know when I switched my cataract appt to, which was the 12th because she said she had to work on the 19th which was when I originally scheduled it. But she says it is okay to leave it on the 12th. Good thing because I don't want to switch it again. Now the phone is charging in the bathroom where the only available outlet is. I have rec'd another call, but have not got up to go in there and see what the call is about, because I am being determinedly S-L-O-T-H-F-U-L !!  I am ignoring all tasks and chores, except, before I go pick up the Nannie-person I have to go to Food Lion to get more of her yogurts. And Tinker-food. And get myself some Schweppe's g'ale at the convenience store, since it's not at any of the grocery stores anywhere around here. Did I say I have given up PEPSI? For some reason it had started making me feel queasy. Now I have a six-pack and 3 two-liter bottles I don't want to drink. But I can't return them because I haven't got the sales slips and don't know from whence they came. I'll find someone somewhere to give them to, sooner or later.

Now that it is 2 PM, and I can't think of anything else to blather about, I prolly will get dressed, and to heck with everything else until it is time to go out, because I can't ignore Nannie or her fast disappearing yogurts, much as I'd like to, nor the dog's food. *sigh*

Stepson left to go home today. 

The hospital is admitting like crazy (remember, we only have 10 rooms) and census will be up to 7 or 8 this evening. I may be working the floor tomorrow if no one else steps up since we only have one nurse scheduled.

While home at lunchtime to say goodbye to stepson I started some stew meat in the crock pot so will add vegetables when I get home.
