Midterms...

Published

When does everyone have their midterms? I have one for A&P 1 on Wed, its a lab practical and if we get below a 59.01 then we fail the class. This is our first exam and I am scared to death. 250 questions, a lot of them (atleast half if not more) on parts of the bones, also slides/histology etc, and everything else that we have gone over so far.

I'm almost in tears from stressing out so much, trying to learn the bones and every little notch, tubercle and condyle, blah, blah, blah, etc, etc, etc..

We only had two weeks to learn them and I have had to work extra hours because of a promotion the my Co is having right now. I've been up very late every night studying and spent 7 hours studying today. My brain is fried and I am exhausted.

Everyone please say a little prayer for me, that I will pass this lab midterm. I have a 105 average in lecture but this lab stuff is really getting under my skin.

Good Luck to anyone else who has a midterm coming up.

Edited to add: Spelling counts too, and it is not one of my strong points. I agree that we should have to spell things correctly. I'm not complaining about it really, just worried that I will loose points.

Michelle...I will say some prayers for you...sounds like a lot is based on the lab practical. All I can say is, every second you have to look over your notes...do it. I used my lunch break, got up early with a cup of coffee, stayed up late. I have a baby, husband and full time job, so I have to find other times to study. It is so much easier to find time each day to study than it is to cram...people(including myself) who cram...freeze up and tend to forget when put under pressure of timed tests and practicals. Like your siggy says, take one day at a time. A & P is a very tough class but it is worth all the studying to finish well.

My midterm for Micro is not until Mid march. Good Luck!!!!

Good Luck, I have one on Tues. night. I study but dont get to stressed out like I used to. I try my best what happens, happens. If I study to much, I will mess up! I will look over the material tomarrow then thats it till after the test. Its on rat organs/systems, mitosis, body regions, cell organelles, and who knows what else.

Sounds like you are a perfectionist like me. I like my A's and I like getting good grades. I stress out, too, but I am pretty laid back, so I don't take things too to heart. It seems to me like you will do fine. Try not to worry too much. If you've studied, prayed, and know your stuff, you will be fine. As for the spelling, that sucks! I just hope the prof is a little more linient (sp? see? can't spell either  ) I hope you don't worry so much that you forget everything you've studied (not trying to make you more nervous) I'll pray for you and let us know how you did, ok? God bless you.

Mave.

Thanks you guys. I'm feeling a little better about things today since I had the day to study yesterday. Between work and school it was the first day that I have had off in about 3 and a half weeks. I have school and work today and tomorrow but I am going to study as much as possible.

My instructor said that she will try to get us our grades back the following wed. If I have to wait a week to find out how I do I think I'll go crazy.
