MICU or GI Lab

I have been a CCU/MICU RN for 6 years working nights but I've always wanted to try something different, still with good pay but less stressful environment. I recently applied for a GI lab position and they actually offered me a $1.50 more than my current pay rate. Then for some reason I went to a job fair, had an interview for a MICU position and got offered $3.00 more than what am currently getting. Now I'm in dilemma of whether I should continue being an MICU Nurse for a better pay yet full of stress, or proceed with the GI lab position

What at do you guys think?

The new MICU job offer....will it be nights? Every other weekend? Holidays? etc. A lot of stress and lousy hours. (I know my grammar/punctuation isn't correct.)

Versus....GI Lab. Some GI labs require on call for night and weekend emergencies? Would yours? Or would it be only Mon. to Fri. 6 am to 6 pm, no on call hours?

GI labs are easier, less stress. (Except for the occasional GI Bleed if yours covers emergencies.) I am old and LOVE my less stressful, Mon. to Fri. day time hours GI job (we don't do emergencies).

I know I couldn't return to acute care bedside nursing, I lost a lot of time management and acute care skills.

So you choose an easier life style, loosing some skills, GI lab. Or stay in the trenches, work MICU. If you really worry about losing your acute care skills you could take the GI lab job and do per diem one weekend a month in acute care?
