Microbiology

So I am about to be starting a Microbiology class this Fall semester, and I am super nervous. Due to extreme life circumstances in the past I took A&P I, and written Communications I and ended up with C's in those classes. Those are some of my pre req classes, so these next upcoming semesters I'm really wanting to ace Microbiology and A&P II. The Microbiology Book I will be learning out of this Fall semester is "Microbiology 4th edition with diseases by Taxonomy. Written by Robert W. Bauman". Has anyone else learned out of this book? I'm looking for some study tips...because these chapters can get sort of confusing and it just seems to be loads of information. I'm open to pretty much any advice you fellow nurses or students out there might have for a anxiety-ridden college student.

Nope, but if you are strong in general biology and you read your chapters, you should do great. I didn't struggle at all. Thought it was fun!

I am also registered for micro this fall and I was told the same thing. If you did well in general biology, you will do well in this class with the right effort. A friend of mine who already took the class recommended both Khan Academy and Crash Course videos if I find I need a little extra help in the class.

My school's fall books came in and my micro class doesn't require or have any optional text. Weird.

I'll wish both of us the best of luck! :) I know I should do well. I have no problem understanding concepts, it's just studying terminology is always a pain. I love Kahn Academy!! I've used that website quite a bit. That is weird. Maybe they plan on having you learn by watching videos??
