i don;t know specifically but i know that i have gotten used texts with the CD's and/or an unused code.

With the advent of Google, Khan Academy and such tools I think that the bundled software with the text is just way to pump profits. These aforementioned resources can point you in the right direction should you desire additional and/or more specific information to supplement your studying.

Also, bear in mind that a lot of the professors use PowerPoint slides to conduct lecture and don't utilize the textbook. I would take notes in class and then write them on my PowerPoint slides that I printed prior to class; I never utilized the textbook all that much. You will find that it contains too much information and only serves to muddle one's brain.

Think about borrowing the library's reserved copy vs. buying one outright. That is what I did and I never found myself missing it and I earned an "A" in the class.

If you just have to have the book then by all means purchase it; however, books are expensive and all the people I know don't have that kind of money to throw around.
