messed up

I was supposed to have an interview a couple days ago, but missed it. I'm currently working two jobs and I pretty much like my main job in assisted living as its fairly laid back and I like the residents and get along with the nurses, but it doesn't pay quite enough, they don't give raises, no real retirement and you have to worry about management making changes periodically that don't always make sense and they sometimes mess with your hours. Anyway, I applied online to a job that looked interesting last week although it was a little farther than I wanted to drive (about 30 miles), although I drive 20 to my main job, but its only 3 days a week so the new job most likely would have been double miles driving 5 days. When we set the appointment up, I was thinking I could go over there after my second 12 hour shift for the week, but what happened was when I went into work last Friday, I noticed they posted mandatory meetings in the afternoon for both days I work my 12 hour night shifts (which they don't do very often, but corporate was coming in). So I only got a couple hours sleep bet. days and was dead by morning, then I had to stay over a couple hours. So when I go home, I could have made it maybe 10-15 min. late, but I would have had to skip shaving and go in my scrubs, plus like I said I could barely stay awake on the drive home. So I thought it would be better to just call them and see if I could reschedule. I probably should have done it right away, but waited a few hours until lunch time and then called. Whoever answered said she would call me back later, but never did. So I guess nothing you guys can say to help out, just wanted to rant I guess and be mad at myself, live and learn.
