Hi everyone,
This might have been asked before, but was wondering if anyone recently purchased or used medstrongs study guides for the nursing theory exams? I have lisa arends and studygroup101, but studygroup101 seems to have alot of extra information with no particular order, and lisa arends, although older seems to follow the current study guide more accurately..
Thanks!

Never heard of it. I have the Lisa Arends guides and find them to be ok, but the lack of punctuation drives me crazy. I find the final review and practice exams most helpful. I just bought the studygroup101 guide for LS2 and it seems really helpful for this exam for me. I'll find out when I take the exam just how helpful it is!!
Thanks Meg
Are you also using the textbooks? or just studyguides?
I use a little bit of everything!! I have most of the recommended text (bought older editions of half.com for a few dollars each). Plus I have a lot of books from RT school that have been helpful. I also use the internet for research on things I don't understand. But I don't read each chapter they suggest. I found that was very time consuming and I would fall asleep just trying to get through the material!! I use the content guide as the basis for my study and basically outline each section. Once I feel like I have a grasp of the material I take the Excelsior practice exam and then study each question and focus on my weak areas. The practice exams are a MUST. So far I've gotten 4 A's and 1 B so something is working :)

You can get the same info as is on the Medstrong CDs from the various YahooGroups. If you need the YahooGroups info, just let me know. In other words, don't waste your money!
I'm going to stay away from them.
