I was wondering if anyone in nursing school has had a problem with med math and what is the criteria for it? meaning did you have a class that tought it? How many chances did you get to take it? Did it have to pass it with a 90% or better? If not was you kicked out of the nursing program? Any response would be appreciated

We are required to pass @ 100%. We can take the test as often as needed, but within a limited time frame. Find a method that works for you, and you'll do fine. Once in clinicals though, you have to be on target w/numbers. It's not rocket surgery....

We had to buy a stupid book. I do fine with math, so I didn't find the book helpful at all; I wish it had been optional. We had optional assignments out of it, and then we had three tries to pass the test with 100%. If you failed, you were out of the program. We had three tests during the year.
As far as I know, no one was kicked out of my program because of the math test. I'm sure some were sweating bullets on that third time, though.
