Med Math help

I seem to have lost some confidence in my math abilities.

Question is: Administer 1 liter NS at 150/hr. Tubing drip factor is 20gtts/ml.

I solved: 150/60 x 20 = 50gtts/min. Am I wrong?

I know the formula is volume/time x drip factor but the 1 liter in the problem is throwing me. Is it just a red herring?

Looks right to me unless they want to know how long it will take to infuse the 1000ml?

Yup.....you don't need the 1000ml for this calculation........DosageHelp.com - Helping Nursing Students Learn Dosage Calculations
