Has anyone used this documentation software in home health visits? What are your thoughts?

I am just in the early stages of learning McKesson Horizon and it is A LOT more user friendly and easier to navigate than ENCORE. ENCORE turned out to be a charting nightmare for me. Chimers RN

I've used the program since 2002. As a Central intake Manager all referral entry starts with my department. We've streamlined some of doccumentation and do not use all sections -many needed to click open to view info rather than appearing directly in view. McKesson is working on new version 12.0 which is more friendly for address/phones and referral info. What info are you looking for>
From a case manager /EMR side, I can find most info going back to 2002 with just a few keystrokes rather than paging though a thick chart..... IF the staff have entered info.

I like several features about McKesson and dislike others...McKesson is much more suited to home care than to hospice. Just like with any software there are upsides and downsides. I liked the way I could organize and see my patients. I liked that I could see who I had seen when. I didn't like the medication section. I liked the "plan for next visit" although many organizations don't like the narrative feature.

I am a homehealth Nurse,9 years, and I don't feel computers belong at all in homecare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hasn't technology caused enough problems? Sheesh! From goin' to a genuine human being for 7 years and than showing up with a contraption and being all formal and punching keys?????This is not homecare.
