Math Requirement 1301 or 1302

Does anyone know if Math 1301 counts as the math requirement in the RN BSN program? I have read some terrible things about the College Algebra course through UTA and I am dreading it. (I am terrible at algebra)

I read somewhere that Math 1301 may suffice, however, it may be equally as complicated. Has anyone ran into this problem or know a solution? The local community college (as I live in Illinois) does not offer a transferable college algebra course, so that's not an option.

I too tried to take college Algebra and was defeated by it! It's crazy with 4-6 hours of homework a day and I was still behind. My original course map said I could either take math 1301 or 1302 but in the link to courses for the program they have since changed it Bad Request

I am curious to see if anyone is now taking it and not taking college algebra and allowed to do so for graduation. After reading this I dropped College Algebra and enrolled for math1301 for March... I tried to take it online at a local college but they are wanting me to retake elementary algebra because I was lacking a lab...and both are a 16 week courses. Thank you in advance.

Math 1301 and 1302 are both college algebra classes. There is a difference between the two but I don't remember what it is. I think 1302 is the longer version. I had to take 1302 because it was the only thing offered during the summer. I thought it was a lot of work. You will still spend hours trying to get through this class. I got a tutor, a co-workers kid that I paid in cash and food.

I have taken statistics at my local college. I completed 4 units. Math 1302 in UTA per the description is equal to math 123c at our local college. They still want me to take the math class that I took to enter statistics. Also I was surprised by all the pol sci and history classes and other extra classes they added to my degree planner. I took med terminology in calif and they told me they cannot accept it as an elective nursing course because it is not Texas certified. I am very surprised by this. Anyone can comment on this would be greatly appreciated. I have 1 more history class and 1 more math class (the equiv of this I hve taken but they won't accept because it has a different title) to take before taking capstone. Thank you.
