Hi all, I am working on some math problems and just want to double-check some calculations that I think are right, but not 100% sure...
does (drug X) 0.5 ml PO bid available in 150 mg / 1 ml
equivalent to:
1 ml PO bid available in 150 mg / 2 ml
I think this is right, but I am not sure. Essentially just the solution is increased but the concentration still stays the same because the size of the dose is also increased.
In other words, the first scenario each dose is equivalent to 75 mg per 0.5 ml, and in the second scenario there is also 75 mg, but in a solution of 1 ml.

If you're comparing total dosage in milligrams, it is equivalent. If you're comparing I&O, it is not (based on the info you provided).
Okay thank you. That's right the I&O is not the same.
