maternity scrubs?

Has anyone bought maternity scrubs? Was it worth it, or will regular ones (a few sizes larger!) work just as well? The four pregnant women on my unit will appreciate any answers! :)

I am a pregnant nursing student, and have found that my regular top works well still, and I am quite large now. the Cherokee brand tops seem to run larger than their stated size-get a bigger size, not a maternity top.

They'll probably have to get new shirts, but I was able to wear my usual drawstring pants up until the last few weeks (and I gained 50+ lbs!!!!!). The waists are very big on those things, so I just wasn't tying them by the end.

I have one pair of maternity scrub pants (borrowed from a friend) and while they do feel and fit nice, I refuse to pay $25+ for special pants. I bought some of the cheap end drawstring pants in a size larger for $9.99. They are unisex size, and fit large through the legs in relation to the waist, but the price was right. When my scrub tops didn't fit any longer, I started wearing the maternity t-shirts, because I could also wear them day to day. Our dress code requires scrub tops but my unit has always given leeway to the pregnant girls that wear t-shirts.

Whether or not your normal scrubs will fit into late pregnancy also depends on how much weight you gain and how slimfitted you wore your scrubs in the first place. Also if you normally wear elastic waisted pants, they tend stop fitting sooner than the drawstring kind.

They have a maternity "pack"

They are supposed to be really nice!

I had friends who just went and got hospital issued scrubs before every shift.
